a lot of you asked about blurb books.
blurb is a website with free software you can download to layout your own custom book, and then they print it or you. you can do great hardback books – as many pages as you’d like, with lots of different layouts.
alexis made a custom book for each of her bridesmaids. she drew the illustrations and scanned them in as .jpegs to upload to the site.
i also made one for our vacation to st. john in 2008. i used photos we took during the trip, and sized each one as a full page bleed. you can customize the front and back cover, the spine, inside the dust jacket, and every page inside.
the software is really easy to use, and the price is very reasonable for a basic book. adding in lots of pages, and going bigger with the size of the book takes the price up pretty quickly, however.
