1: intern hired.

meet keila.  this is her at the flea market saturday morning with an unidentified petite ground bird that we should have bought.

2: my new sofa
photo-108
it’s in brian’s office.  he looked at it, quickly passed judgement – “i don’t get it’.
it’s an urban outfitter’s tapestry i’d had and loved forever, and now it’s a slipcover, paired with a houndstooth, which i thought he would like.  sigh.

2b: new spring dog collars are in the shop.  rowdy went with green.
photo-110greek keys also in pink, orange and black.  these can be shipped easily, says rowdy.  they are $30 and highly fashionable.  (there are 3 sizes – tiny dog, medium dog and biggish dog – rowdy is medium at 40lbs)

3: next month, i’m going to be carrying roberta freymann’s home line roberta roller rabbit.  i am extra stoked about this because her stuff is so great looking, the price point is terribly affordable, and i’ll be the only store in NC carrying her line.

there are quilts, baby blankets, fabric nesting boxes, pillows, beach bags, napkins, pouches and other delights.

4: to house a lot of this new merch, i bought one of these.  it’s just sitting here empty now…
expedit

5: which means april’s class is going to be……. bookcase styling!!  my one true calling in life – to make pretty piles of books, and to teach others how to.  i’ll announce the date and start signing people up next week.

On East Lake Shore Drive, this co-op project combined 2 separate units last updated in the '60s into 1 lavish apartment with a gut-remodel, relocating the kitchen to the front of the apartment overlooking the lake. Interior by Summer Thornton Designter bath, Thornton juxtaposed diagonal swaths of Calacatta Monet marble with Breccia stone to distract from the room’s asymmetrical layout while providing a unique take on tradition, highlighted by the Waterworks fixtures and a freestanding tub by Ann Sacks. The oak paneling was detailed with black molding, a reference to the hand-painted ceiling in the living room.
