brian meares and i went to the mountains this weekend with a bunch of our friends. we rented an amazing house in blowing rock, and had a (much needed) fabulous time.
one of the best things about our big group of friends is that there are so many great cooks in the bunch. and we’re remarkably good at coordinating over-the-top fancy meals that feed everyone on a dime. brian meares and i were in charge of sunday night – we had a tough act to follow from saturday: an authentic taco bar with seasoned strip steak and cilantro shrimp.
brian cooked a pork shoulder all day, and then pulled it into bbq – his standard – and i was left with the side dishes. i tried a new pinterest recipe that i just have to share with yal; i’ve already had the leftovers for dinner last night, and lunch today. my pinterest recipe board is a work in progress, but there are some delicious bits i can’t wait to try.
