Uncategorized / July 15, 2013

hey yal.  i’ve been in atlanta the past lil bit at the gift show.  i was invited to speak on a panel about ‘styling in the south’ with my lady colleagues haskell harris and lindsay coral harper.  that went just fine.

then i got to scope out the show and make a few picks to put my face on

keila and maggie followed up behind me to do the actual buying in a reasonable and rational way, as opposed to my GET THAT WE NEED THAT GET 24.

keila has a better approach, clearly.

i did the important part of atlanta, which was eating (at JCT kitchen, west egg and the optimist).  and stopping in at ann mashburn for a surtsey for myself.

let’s see – what else is new?

do you follow targetdoesitagain on instagram?  these girls spot all the trends worth trying at target.  it’s a little dangerous.

you should also follow him.  because you get things like this.  good lord.

and i need to tell you about this hash egg thing i’ve been making (thanks to my smart friend leah who whipped it up first).  tiny chopped up potatoes, kale, red onion, corn, tomatoes and THEN you crack an egg on the whole bit and bake it for 15 minutes.

delish.

that’s all i got.  i’m headed to san fran this week for a few things, including alt summit.  holler if you’ll be there!

On East Lake Shore Drive, this co-op project combined 2 separate units last updated in the '60s into 1 lavish apartment with a gut-remodel, relocating the kitchen to the front of the apartment overlooking the lake. Interior by Summer Thornton Designter bath, Thornton juxtaposed diagonal swaths of Calacatta Monet marble with Breccia stone to distract from the room’s asymmetrical layout while providing a unique take on tradition, highlighted by the Waterworks fixtures and a freestanding tub by Ann Sacks. The oak paneling was detailed with black molding, a reference to the hand-painted ceiling in the living room.
