how things have looked

Uncategorized / June 9, 2016

i promised – pretty pictures.  here we go – all the things i’ve been up to lately.  forgive me if you’ve seen a few before, but i figure half of you are snapchatting and the other half don’t bother with any of it, so maybe this is all from my private instagram collection.

a pretty moment in the loo.  both birthday presents =)
a pleasing combo on opening day at the store
a reminder that when no one else is, i’m still am
a snapshot of william mclure’s amazing yellow dining room at the traditional home showhouse in new orleans
birthday flowers
these earrings are my new favorite.  they make everything a little more fancy and festive
jessica was inspired  by william mcclure to redo her dining room table for our photoshoot yesterday
friends in NOLA – sally, nick and jessica (ps that’s the target dress in black)
an amazing rug i spotted at the ace hotel in new orleans.
i’ve got these products on the reg rotation right now.  i know i told you about the hair repair — also the strivectin serum (totally smooths out weird spots when applied under moisturizer) and the ahava hand cream with SPF
my first sally face painting – it was a (very generous) gift to the presenters at the southern style now conference last week
and a little arranging at the store yesterday with our new suzanis, otomi pillows and sweet mini crystal globe lamp

"Date 1944. Sorority sisters at the University of Texas." by sdasfvrce in OldSchoolCoolOn East Lake Shore Drive, this co-op project combined 2 separate units last updated in the '60s into 1 lavish apartment with a gut-remodel, relocating the kitchen to the front of the apartment overlooking the lake. Interior by Summer Thornton Design
ter bath, Thornton juxtaposed diagonal swaths of Calacatta Monet marble with Breccia stone to distract from the room’s asymmetrical layout while providing a unique take on tradition, highlighted by the Waterworks fixtures and a freestanding tub by Ann Sacks. The oak paneling was detailed with black molding, a reference to the hand-painted ceiling in the living room.
