WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH | Charlie (my sweet husband and NC native), Mac (5 1/2 my artist and rubber duckie enthusiast), and Keats (6 months and a total love).
WHAT’S YOUR SIGN | Sagittarius
HOW DO YOU MAKE A NEW HOUSE FEEL SPECIAL | It is super important to me to create authentic spaces that are both beautiful and inviting. Buying what I love and thinking about where it will go later, placing favorites/frequently needed items in every room so no room goes unused, and giving away/discarding items that no longer bring joy make that possible. I loved “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up.”
BEST CONCERT YOU’VE EVER BEEN TO | Blues Traveler in Lake Tahoe with my sister
FAVORITE SONG TO DANCE TO | “The Happy Song” by Otis Redding
FAVORITE PIECE OF CLOTHING RIGHT NOW | Six months post baby, I am a huge fan of all things flowy and forgiving

WHAT DO YOU DO FIRST THING AFTER YOU WAKE UP | I tend to wake up anxious so taking a couple deep breaths is always key… the mornings I make time to do my Metta (loving kindness) meditation always seem to run more smoothly
FAVORITE HOTEL | Ritz Carlton in Dana Point… where Charlie and I eloped
FAVORITE PLACE TO SCORE FINDS FOR YOUR HOME | Scott’s Antique Market
WHERE IS THE LAST PLACE YOU TRAVELED | We returned from Atlanta last night
WHAT DID YOU BRING BACK | A Vik Muniz coffee table book. Muniz is such an amazing artist- I went to see his exhibit at The High Museum three times in two days. I highly recommend watching his documentary “Waste Land.”

WHAT’S REALLY IMPORTANT TO YOU RIGHT NOW | Stanley Greenspan’s Floortime Approach and Y12SR (Yoga 12 Step Recovery). Floortime fosters connection with children by engaging with them on their level, meeting them where they are, and becoming passionate about what makes them smile. Y12SR’s founder, Nikki Meyers, was onto something truly special when she thought to combine the ancient wisdom of yoga with the life changing tools of the 12 steps. I love love love this work and am so excited that it has come to Raleigh.
FOOL PROOF DINNER PARTY TIP | take a deep breath, remind yourself that perfect is boring, and really enjoy who you’re with
WHAT DO YOU COLLECT | beautiful things- John Keats said it best, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR HOME | sit at my desk with a coconut milk latte once everyone has left for the day/Keatsie is down for a nap and enjoy the quiet!

YOU KNOW YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON | a walk, a good movie, and a chat with my mom to brighten my day
WHAT SURPRISES YOU ABOUT RALEIGH | The first time I visited the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) I was absolutely blown away! Seven years and dozens and dozens of visits later, I am still equally impressed and inspired.
WHAT DO YOU BRING WITH YOU EVERYWHERE YOU GO | A commitment to showing up and staying present even on hard days
HOW DO YOU UNWIND | Restorative Yoga aka ‘adult nap time’ at Blue Lotus. Though painful at first (why was I just laying there doing nothing and not burning any calories), I am now a total believer!
WHAT WOULD YOU SAVE IN A FIRE | the painting my grandfather gave me, my wedding dress and photo album, Keats’ lamb lovey, Mac’s artwork, and Hippo-Mac’s favorite stuffed animal

BOOK YOU’RE READING RIGHT NOW | I just finished “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” I am daydreaming about taking advantage of our direct flight to London to go see the play at the Palace Theatre.

THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME | Siem Reap, Cambodia- totally had to get out the distance calculator for this one 😉
