disclaimer : i am not going to even attempt a ‘get the look here’ because we can’t get the look. it’s just too magical to even think about breaking apart and recreating. it’s collected but never feels heavy. it’s airy and light but chock-full of treasures and time-worn antiques. i love how the light bounces around, from the windows to the mirrors, and catches on the flowers, the patina on the faucets, and even reflects on the black paper lampshades.
i’m sitting in kondo, thinking how will i ever in creation get a home that tells a story as well as this one. but this is encouraging. it does give me ideas, and hope. yes we can said Barack, and now, JD. i haven’t seen anything quite this inspirational in a hot minute. hope you enjoy as much as i do.

I’m home sick and I’m convinced I would be cured if I could take a nap in the brown bedroom. What a dream the whole place is!
Utterly GORGEOUS!!
Absolute perfection. Parts of it remind me of Ken Fulk’s Provincetown home….both genius.
Girllll when i tell you I damn near fell out when i saw this house feature in AD. It’s just so darn good. One of those homes that totally inspires and motivates me to fall in love with interiors again.
