six for your Sunday

Decorating / February 17, 2019

1 – this swanky wallpaper is not simply pale green –it’s ‘eau de nil‘, and it’s giving me major chiltern firehouse vibes.

2 – my kardashian rhythm is apparently off, because I don’t know what season it is; I’m craving velvet pillows.  this one feels like a John derian decree, and we’ve got some new velvets in several hues online that I think can cozy up room quickfast.

3 – a pretty palette for a vintage cocktail napkin set.

4 – a tufted tiger roars in 3D with this clash-on-classic leopard rug from anthro.

5 – a black and white bone side table with a floral motif is the perfect side table to set a drink, or scoot right up to the coffee table as an extra seat for a game of farkle, (have you played it?!).

6 – a well-decorated room adheres to a certain recipe, and a natural element, like wicker, or rattan should always be a main ingredient.  this sconce is full flavored.

"Date 1944. Sorority sisters at the University of Texas." by sdasfvrce in OldSchoolCoolOn East Lake Shore Drive, this co-op project combined 2 separate units last updated in the '60s into 1 lavish apartment with a gut-remodel, relocating the kitchen to the front of the apartment overlooking the lake. Interior by Summer Thornton Design
ter bath, Thornton juxtaposed diagonal swaths of Calacatta Monet marble with Breccia stone to distract from the room’s asymmetrical layout while providing a unique take on tradition, highlighted by the Waterworks fixtures and a freestanding tub by Ann Sacks. The oak paneling was detailed with black molding, a reference to the hand-painted ceiling in the living room.
