Closet Cravings / April 9, 2019

1 – first of all, pre-1, everything in this week’s round-up is on super-duper sale.  starting today, take 20% off orders under $500 or 25% off orders of $500 or more with code EVENT19 at shopbop.  bam pow.

now back to 1.  a good pair of white denim is top of my list for spring, and the first requirement is that they aren’t tight as all get out.  I’ve made that mistake a few too many times, and sausage cellulite is never the look we’re going for with white jeans.  these Levi’s are loose as a goose and that’s alright with me.

2 – this Gigi Burris hat is essential for my easter basket.  in fact, it could be my easter basket.  just flip it and fill it.  it’s like an easter bunny on vacay in st. tropez.

3 – fun and fresh earrings that don’t break the bank are an easy way to put some spring in your step

4 – I have to say, I went the fanny pack route in india, and I’m sold.  fully converted.  it’s totally practical and it feels like you’re keeping up with the young people.  this Clare vivier number is just the right size, and I love the animal print keeping it all class.

5 – ready or not, this spring and summer we’re going back to band-camp with designer tevas.  I’m not at all mad about it – these are very attactive with their red python moment.

6 – flowy and flowery.  wear this skirt with a leather jacket until it’s warm enough to flaunt your tank tops freely

7 – I basically want to live in this whole situation.  comfort.  elegance.  ease.  like a golden girl, in golden goose.

8 – a cute little purse for bopping around town

9 – I’m extra-stoked Isabel Marant’s boots are still a la mode this spring.  very cute with a shorter dress (see #13!)

10 – just add an easter bonnet and you are set my friend.  a pink satin suit.  yes please

11 – these ribbed pants are the best for travel days.  simple and chic.

12 – I love a little lightning stud.  I have a pair I wear all the time!

13 – a cute little dress for your spring flings.  pair with a bootie to break some hearts.

"Date 1944. Sorority sisters at the University of Texas." by sdasfvrce in OldSchoolCoolOn East Lake Shore Drive, this co-op project combined 2 separate units last updated in the '60s into 1 lavish apartment with a gut-remodel, relocating the kitchen to the front of the apartment overlooking the lake. Interior by Summer Thornton Design
ter bath, Thornton juxtaposed diagonal swaths of Calacatta Monet marble with Breccia stone to distract from the room’s asymmetrical layout while providing a unique take on tradition, highlighted by the Waterworks fixtures and a freestanding tub by Ann Sacks. The oak paneling was detailed with black molding, a reference to the hand-painted ceiling in the living room.
