watching
hands down the funniest show around right now. i greedily binged the entire season 5 in two days - hee hawing the entire time. the writing is exceptionally clever, their relationship is uncannily similar to tad and mine, and i'm very into Sharon Horgan's wardrobe. all the animal prints mixed with wonky t-shirts and crazy florals.
and the ending of this season! what a metaphor, or a reality, or maybe both!
wearing
several important things about this picture. it rained the entire time in SF, but that was fine. i caught up on some much needed sleep, watched aforementioned season 5 of catastrophe , and ate every good bite of food i could find. i also did the best vintage shopping of my lifetime, spoils include this vintage chanel boucle coat that i may not take off , ever, even when it's 100 degrees this weekend, and please note that happy little red bag which i can never find the occasion for in raleigh but decided this is me now in SF. it's ulla johnson and has pom poms, two must-haves for women-folk these days, it seems. the jeans are my fave mom jeans from forever21 that are practically free, and i yes, they are the fastest of fashion, but i wear them tres often. and the boots - well, you guessed it. it's these.

visiting
grant gibson was so very kind to let us crash in his San Fran apartment last week. i wanted to pinch myself in a fit of cuteness, because it was so lovely. grant's moved to the countrysidez, but keeps his city spot as an office. i realized how much i love a place with lots of little rooms (especially after being in sometimes overwhelming open-ness of kondo. this cozy bed was our spot for the rainy week -- i texted grant to ask about the grey linen on the headboard, thinking it was fance-pants, and he responded that the whole bed was a $350 steal, purchased for staging. fully uphosltered - rails, footboard and all. i apparently, do not need to be fance, but i do enjoy pants.
grant really gets the mix, don't you think?

admiring
our one sunny day, tad and i sat out in the presidio for a little stroll about, and serendipitously walked right by the san francisco decorator's showhouse. we bought a ticket and wandered in, and spent about two hours marveling over the most bad-ass house, the craziest decorating choices, and the epic people watching. it was awesome, and one of my favorite parts of the trip. i'm sorry to say i didn't note many of the designers (i didn't recognize them, for one), but i loved this moment. the oversized tapestry and the lacquered 3-color coffee table were a perfect combo.

flossing
we just listed a new batch of pretty rugs online (and this weekend only - take 20% off your entire order with code summer20save). i love the colors in this little lady. just a touch over 6' x 4', it would be perfect in a bathroom (so soft underfoot and water won't phase it). i'm using a similar one in my master bath, and i pulled the room color palette from the rug. i love persians for just that reason - they can really jumpstart an entire room scheme.
eating
my birthday was beyond-special - and these french fries weren't even the best part. tad surprised me with a visit to the SF zoo, where i got to spend some time with a red panda, named tenzig. I fed him his breakfast - a bowl full of fresh bamboo leaves, one by one, and then he did some panda tricks, which involved somersaulting while grabbing his fluffy tail. then tad fed me french fries at one of his fave old school SF taverns - taddich. the cioppino was next level, and not pictured, a blue cheese dressing that nancy clark (my mom!) would've ordered by the pint to bring home. yum.

installing
installed some very pretty austrian roman shades for a client, fabricated from one of my very favorite tulu fabrics, madame farfalla. I fell in love with this silky sumptuous printed on a trip to istanbul where we visited the tulu showroom. the minty headboard was a OKL score (I think upholstered headboards give you a ton of bang for not a lot of buck - there are so many budget friendly options available these days). lots of layers still to come in this badass bedroom.
