watching
this gets a hard skip from me. really disappointed - it just wasn't funny at all. i always enjoy Maya Rudolph - she could knit quietly in a corner and I'd watch because it would still be entertaining, but these ladies together just seemed pitiful. the gist was women aging and how friendships, travel and life, and wine drinking to get turnt changes as we roll out with the homies in our late 40s and 50s - and it was just so tedious and heavy-handed. i say no mam pam, i'd rather stay at home. i give it two bless your hearts.
wearing
tad told me yesterday this is my signature portrait pose, singular. in that i have one lewk.
well, use what you got, that's what someone said once.
i have strong feelings for this pearl, by lela rose gingham blazer. it's perfect for new york meetings where you're trying to convince someone you're stylish - it's an easy solution to that 'i tried but you can't tell how hard' equation i often try to solve in the city. glasses are barton perreira, jeans are here (my fave levi's) and the button-up shirt is urban outfitters

designing
we took a walk on the wild side with this custom stair runner, installed at a raleigh client's home last week. i tell you what - it's good-looking. this Stark print is a classic, and i feel like the blue is a little more daring. it's the blue antilocarpa carpet - and how about the pink settee with it? love the unexpected punch of color on the landing!
eating
this is an example of the perfect chip buffet, as orchestrated by one nick olsen. nick and i are self-proclaimed chip experts, with a double-major in dips, so we often thrill each other with these indulgent displays. he really raised the bar at our last gathering - 3 chip options, 2 dips and a ceremonial fruit moment (just to make us feel a healthful balance). the very cute cocktail napkins are from fete home!

shopping
there's nothing better than bopping around my new nyc neighborhood with some ear buds in, listening to jason durelo (Jayyyyysoooon DAH-REAL-O), trying to figure out if people are crazy, on heroin, or just real characters (often all of the above). i'm just two blocks from john derian's little trio of shops, and they change their selection just often enough that a monthly pop-in is always sure to delight. like these sparkly little animals -- who knew? delight
selling
a big batch of rugs just came in and they're rull pretty to look at. i shipped two up to nyc for the apartment - a big guy for the living room and a little throw rug for the kitchen. it instantly made it feel like home. i really love this guy and was considering switching out my current raleigh bath for it. had a neon pink silk shower curtain made in india for the guest bath, and the pink in this would be killer. i gotta give it one shit at living life without me, and if it's meant to be, she'll come back.

bouncing
i've been working with local raleigh megaformer studio, mega, on their branding - and i'm so excited how the studio is coming together. we installed this poster wall last night (was feeling inspired by nyc bills). mega is one part megaformer, one part mini-tramp, and the very first of it's kind in raleigh in both departments. got a preview of the tramp workout this morning, and lemme tell ya, it's SO freaking fun. and hard! and i can't wait to do it again.
