Ulla Johnson’s fort Greene home thrills me. featured in the September issue of AD, it’s just so weird and wonderful. soft peaches and curvy furniture, thread art and big ole veined pieces of stone, it’s lit-her-rah-lee a west-coast teenage dream, but it’s executed so carefully that it never feels twee or trendy to me. and it’s in Brooklyn! blessed be the fruit.
be sure to notice those banquette cushions at the breakfast table. I don’t swoon for things because I’m a grown women, but if I did.
also, when is the last time you heard someone say out loud “I SWOON FOR THAT”. the answer is never. you’ve never heard it. So let’s not type it ladies. we don’t say it.
Alternative suggestions include: I dig it! I like it! This makes me happy. I have feelings for this item/room/person. I’m into this. I want to have this. I want you to have this. I want you to click through my blog and have it this item, not just so I can make money, but so that we can nuture our relationship of shared style influences. All of these would work just fine to convey that you like something a lot.
SIDENOTE: no one is SMITTEN either, for crying out loud.
right?
let’s nuture our relationship by me offering, and you clicking through, should you feel compelled *not smother or swoonful, to my fave ulla johnson pieces currently.
