– (faux) leather leggings are a go-to in fall for this girl. I’ve been wearing a pair of blank nyc ones for a couple of years so it might be time to invest in a new pair. I enjoy that these have a high-waist. the blank ones do not so there’s a good amount of tugging, and that’s not cute. the trick is they can’t be too tight in the thighs so you avoid sausage casing vibes. I might order these to try.
– madewell has a new line called ‘spaced out‘ — cute little mix n’ match stars and such. I feel like if we’re going to say things like mix and match, we’ve got to go with the n’. chips n’ dip. sit n’ chat. sip n’ see. anyway. these would be good little gifts for xmas, if you’re ahead of the game.
– farm rio is new to me – and I’m digging their vibe. evil eyes, rainbow colors and metallic threading. feels right. love the color of this dress.
– a sock boot with jeans and a tee can be a super-chic look anytime. think Parisian instagram fashion influencer. and these are super-affordable, so you’re off to a good start with this new career path.
– as we settle into the season of the puffy sleeve (here for it!), I think this is an interesting take on it with the chambray.
– tory burch is on my radar, although it always feels a little normcore-y. she does oftentimes have more than a few really interesting pieces each season, and this shirt is a fine example of her finery.
– ok, if you take one thing seriously on this list: these pants. they’re v. comfortable and a good go-to that’s not denim. paperboy waist is cute, and the color is guhd for fall.
– ok, loveshackfancy. I know of them, they make girly dresses. fine. but I wandered into their store (new, I think?) in the west village a few weeks ago, and it was pretty transformative. I don’t necessarily think I am their Laura Ashley sexualized prairie gal, but they do commit to a vibe, and sometimes I can see it. this blouse: one of those times.
– denim for fall. high-waist, check. cropped, check. flared leg, check. good wash, also check. I like these.
– I can’t fight it, I’m just the right age and interest level and income and able to be influenced by goop. when they put Gwyneth in a piece, I get wants. she sells it. even this splurgy military jacket that you could probably find for a fraction of the cost, but GWYNETH ISN’T WEARING THAT ONE.
