tigers and leopard and velvet oh my!

Furbish, My Style / November 22, 2019

The tigre at kondo de tigre is proving her worth - she's perfect for a pillow photoshoot, case in point: After adding the whole shebang of our velvet pillow collection to the couch, I thought 'well wouldn't this be something if they lived here for a bit?'. So I've adopted one of each candy-color for the holidays, and the trick is : just convincing Major to keep his junk off of them. And discourage Rowdy from romping across them. Festive doesn't have to mean destruction, pups. We've carried solid pillows in the past at Furbish, but to be honest, they never really get me going. Let's be honest, Furbish has always been more of an icing on the cake situation - we're not so much the base of the recipe, but the sprinkles you add to the top to really take things up a notch. So in designing this collection of pillows - I wanted to take something that's an undeniable need (a solid pillow - a place for the eye to rest when there's a chaos of prints and patterns), and make it feel like the topping bar at the yogurt pump (enticing, intriguing and indulgent). I'm tickled with the results - 6 colors of velvety goodness, each paired with a contrasting welt that's meant to elevate the everyday. Peruse over at Furb for your fave colors combos - and I'd love to hear if you want to see some new combos next year! (And pssst, because we're old friends, take 15% off these chic cushions through Sunday with code BLOGFROND)

In secondary news, that leopard skirt has been on heavy rotation in the days of my life lately.  it's from Zara and doesn't appear to be online anymore (although this one does and it's gonna official holiday skurt skurt!) here are a few I think are equally feline fantastic

Interior by Summer Thornton Design
ter bath, Thornton juxtaposed diagonal swaths of Calacatta Monet marble with Breccia stone to distract from the room’s asymmetrical layout while providing a unique take on tradition, highlighted by the Waterworks fixtures and a freestanding tub by Ann Sacks. The oak paneling was detailed with black molding, a reference to the hand-painted ceiling in the living room.
