I remember Sheila Bridges from the halcyon Domino Mag days – that yellow toile wallpaper burned its way into my brain. Her home in Hudson Valley does not disappoint either – full of color, layers of textiles and organic shapes, antiques with provenance pair with modern art that sparks off the walls. Also be sure to check out Sheila’s online shop – don’t miss her wallpaper (I am dying to use this pattern at the house in Aspen).
Sheila designed and built this home from scratch – “She spent her childhood in an old stone house in Philadelphia, and her other current dwellings, in Harlem and Iceland, both come with historic pedigrees. ‘I just always wanted to have a full-on design build,’ she says. ‘One where I could really sort of control the entire vernacular.’ Bridges started construction on the property in 2018 and moved in last year.'”
Also: a pool. Let’s get one.
