I’ve been cruising the interwebs for a late summer vacay, with a few stupulations that proved harder to match than I’d anticipated. I wanted to stay in the US, in a hotel – somewhere v. attractive with a pool and a couple of good restaurants on the property. It needed to come in under $1000 a night (way under ideally), possibly have a spa, and ideally be somewhere I’ve never been before.
Searching for a spot, I started with Goop’s travel guides because I am every woman, it’s all in me (goop gets me, what can I say), and I cross-referenced that with a query on Mr and Mrs Smith (because it’s pretty comprehensive for luxury US travel).
I did not end up booking the White Barn Inn in Kennebuck, Maine, but I did save all these pics to share with yal because I think it looks just lovely. All the stripes, cerused wood, blockprint and seagrass … it’s a pretty magical mix. And that pool!
