BRUNCHING
My fave restaurant in Raleigh, St. Roch, is back open for biz (they had a shitty kitchen fire over the summer that required some major repairs). I gotta say local peeps - don't sleep on their brunch. They're open Saturday and Sunday mornings, with an amazing menu and excellent cocktails for a boozy brunch. I helped decorate the joint, so be sure to check out the custom toile wallpaper, art from Cheyenne Randall and lots of fun lighting.
INSTALLING
This time the client is me! California Closets helped us problem-solve this somewhat-deep niche in the corner of the bedroom. When we had to kick out a wall a few feet to make room for a bigger closet, it left a nook by the windows as dead space without a purpose. I worked with my awesome designer Lindsay here in Raleigh to come up with this built-in wardrobe to serve as a linen closet and to stash our shoes. The finish is off-white linen, and the brass hardware is from Beata Heuman.

ORDERING
I just got this rad floor lamp in - it's from Furbish, and has been on backorder for a hot minute (like everything else in our industry). I was surprised when he showed up last week - I'd kinda forgotten about him so it was a happy surprise when I set him up here beside the sofa. Yes, it's a splurge, but gives the room such a luxe natural layer I think!

GIFTING
Speaking of my California Closets designer Lindsey, she dropped off the sweetest gift last week -- this little orchid in a cutest brass giraffe container. So freaking charming - I told her I had never seen such! Here are a few sculptures I found on Etsy:

READING
I'm a huge Amor Towles fan so when amazon recommend his new book, the Lincoln Highway, to me I hit one-click lickety split. Thoroughly enjoying his signature style - sweeping stories with the most intriguing characters. I can't put it down!
WEARING
I just got this Ulla Johnson sweater in my newest Rent the Runway haul, and as always, I'm loving her latest lewks. This one is such a great weight - I packed it for Aspen, where I'll be later this week. We've got snow in the forecast and lows at night in the teens, so it will be a great puff for the semi-polar climes. Here are a few more of-the-moment faves:
