We moved last week. I feel like I might be in cardiac arrest. All the perils of moving, combined with a tremendous amount of self-doubt about this house I designed… Did I fuck it up? Did I spend all our money on the wrong thing? Should we have moved? Will I ever be happy? Little stuff like that – ya know, just keeping me up at night. Here’s what’s not the problem: a few useful things I one-clicked this month from Amazon that aided in easing my anxiety. Sharing 14 fast finds that are getting me through the unboxing uneasies.
BTW – not everything is pictured above, so don’t get confused when I throw some extra stuff at you. It’s 14 things folks. Stay with me.
These lights are amazing, esp in a new house where you’re not sure what’s what at night. They put out a very classy subtle night light and look like a custom situation.
Less sexy, but very necessary, these leg caster cups are v important in a new space and allow me to move furniture around by myself without spraining a nail, until i get everything situated just so. Also, we have wall to wall carpet in bedrooms, so they do the trick to protect the plush.
Organized cabinets with these jim jams – great to hold medicines, makeup, and spices and cleaning supplies.
Swear to god this has changed my life. I’m an ice cruncher, and by proxy, I am now extra-hydrated!
It’s the little things yal – these seriously do keep your clothes less wrinkled.
I moved to a Chemex lifestyle bc I am so tired of drinking shitty coffee so I’m an electric kettle girl now – started with a basic one until I see if this is the lifestyle for me.
Got this for the fridge so everyone will STFU and do what I say
Went fancy on my register covers and it pleases me. Funnily enough, everyone comments on those before most other things when they take the tour.
Lots of bi-fold doors in a mid-cent haus and these locky-doo things keep that baby roommate of mine out of my stuff.
Tik tok told me to get this for the laundry room and she didn’t do me wrong
Ready for guests on the fly in our new extra bedroom with my go-to sheets
At condo we had a pool. so in order to maintain his lifestyle, we’ve convinced the baby that haus also has a pool by putting this on the deck
Our huge windows look out into a very natural front yard, so I added some flair for Vincent to discover with these hidden throughout the lot. They make me smile too.
