Once you become a mom, it feels like order has been restored as you take the ancestral wand of gift giving from your predecessors. Since I waited so late to have a baby, and was a beloved and bespoiled only child, my gift getting years were long and plenty. My mom could have taught a master class on Santa Claus displays – they rivaled the windows of Bergdorf. Knowing full well I won’t get a stitch of what’s included in this gift guide, it felt like a healthy exercise to express my wants to the world, and then in the footsteps of all child wrought women in time, go focus my energy on keeping everyone else alive.
